Backward Design
After watching the 2 videos, here is my basic understanding of what Backward Design is:
It is a planing framework. When teaching, the goal is to focus on long term goals and to put that into practice in short term ways in assessing and instruction to the class. In the exact meaning of the words-to DESIGN BACKWARD from the outcomes and goals you want and work from there. Work on strategic thinking. The textbook is just a resource as a support of your goal. Its is not about getting perfect scores, but rather, the learning process and reaching the goals!
